Q. How long can the data center stay online after losing power?: A. Depending on total load, the data center can stay powered using the diesel powered generators for more than a week.
Q. How do your servers receive power?: A. CITOC’s hosting package servers are powered directly by DC Power, directly connected to the backbone of the data center. This is the cleanest and safest power and reduces the strain on the servers.
Q. Can I get my own backup at my office?: A. Yes. We offer backup packages that can send tapes or DVDs to your office. A popular option is a continuous data protection package where a storage device is located at your office and a complete copy of all of your data is backed every single second!
Q. How long does it take?: A. It only takes a couple of days. One week prior to launch we train you how to use the service. The transfer is typically scheduled for a Friday. We make a back up of all of your data and complete the process over the weekend so when you come in on Monday the service is live and ready for you business to use.
